Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 2026. This policy explains how Nexolly ("Nexolly") handles personal information on the Platform. We aim to handle personal data in line with applicable data-protection law, including the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 where it applies.

1. Information we collect

Account data: name, username, email, password (stored hashed), phone and country where you provide them, and Google account identifiers if you sign in with Google.
Project and expert requests: the details, requirements, budget preferences, links and attachments you submit.
Provider and CV data: professional profile, work history, education, skills, qualifications, portfolio links, CV files and review notes.
Messages: conversations with the Nexolly team and their attachments.
Payment records: payment references, amounts, currency and status. Card details are handled by Paystack and are not stored by us.
Technical data: IP address, device/browser information, session and security logs.

2. How we use it

To create and secure your account; review and respond to requests; coordinate conversations; prepare quotations; process and verify payments; process, preview and deliver CVs; publish an expert profile only with your consent; send notifications about your activity; prevent fraud and abuse; and meet legal obligations.

3. Public expert profiles and consent

If you are a provider, only the information you choose to make public (display name, headline, skills, description, thumbnail and approved summaries) is shown, and only after you consent and Nexolly approves your profile. Your contact details and CV file are never shown publicly. You may withdraw consent at any time.

4. Who we share data with

Paystack (payment processing), Google (sign-in, if you choose it), our hosting and email service providers, and the Nexolly team members who need access to do their work. We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information if required by law.

5. Storage, retention and deletion

Private files (CVs, attachments, quotation documents) are stored outside public web folders with randomised names and are served only to authorised users. We keep data while your account is active and as long as needed for the purposes above, for payment and accounting records, and to resolve disputes. You can request deletion of your account and personal data; we will delete or anonymise it unless we must retain certain records by law.

6. Cookies and sessions

We use essential session and security cookies to keep you signed in, protect forms, and remember where to return after login. We also store a short-lived cookie to preserve a problem description while you register. Optional analytics or advertising cookies are only used if described on the Platform.

7. Security and its limits

We use measures such as hashed passwords, CSRF protection, access checks on every private record, validated uploads, and private file storage. No system is completely secure. CV previews are watermarked to discourage copying, but no technology can fully prevent screenshots or photographs of a screen.

8. Your rights

Subject to applicable law you may ask to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal data, object to certain processing, withdraw consent, or receive a copy of your data. Contact support@nexolly.com. You may also have the right to complain to your data-protection authority.

9. Children

The Platform is not intended for children under 18.
